At the end of our three days of production, here is a group photo of all of us here with the villagers of Kampung Setokok.

Spending an extra day in Batam, we met up with filmmaker Yudha Suryoso who brought us for a nice seafood lunch at the Kamupung Ponggol in Batam.

A internal well shot that had to be pulled off in one of the scenes, so our hero Roger entered the great abyss for this shot to materialize.

Modifying the dolly system at a local hardware shop and purchasing the PVC pipes at the same time. There was extreme difficulty finding a 1/ 1/2 inch diameter pvc tubing therefore the wheels of the dolly had to slightly modified to take the 1 inch pipes.

Arrival at Kampung Setokok. Day one the team immediately scouting for locations as well as actual production.

a collaboration between reel productions HD, reel motion Hd and Treasure Productions on the making of the circle. Here is EJ setting up the dolly shot on location above. Spending three days in Batam in a remote village of Kampung Setokok.

Indeed it was time to put the Canon Mark II for a real test in low lighting. Pretty adamant to shoot the entire nights footage with my 70-200mm L Lens F2.8. As you will see the SDOF and the low lighting is incredible as well as the talents that help me out that evening. Shoot was done in less then two hours without any planning and very much the ambient situation that provided itself. I enjoyed the challenge of throwing just a little of light from the help of my HVL-LBP which worked like a dream.

NASA claimed the moon was going to be big a couple of days back. Well, i did not take the chance. I equipped myself with Mike Tapa’s adapter and fitted my 70-200mm Nikon f.28 lens on my Sony PMW EX3 and headed to hunt the bad moon rising. Well, there was no moon and i then realized, i may have been a little to early. So i headed for the local food centre for a nice dessert and did some last minute grocery shopping at Cold Storage. Behold all this in less than 45 minutes the moon was visible and rising bad… clearwater creedence revival at it’t best

The Singapore Tatler Royal Ball 2008 / 26th Anniversary at the Shangri-la Hotel. Island Ballroom, Here we are again pushing for the impossible and we did it. Churning out 400 DVDs to give away this project working in conjuction with WVS and it’s team was a sucess. Reel Productions, Record Play and Reel Motion as well as Treasure Productions was all involve with great work and effort from all.

Here is a short video clip I decided to put together introducing some of the great toys for the PMW-EX3. Paid a visit to EXPANDORE ELECTRONICS and had EX3s galore all around me and also all the great accessories to go with it. Anyway, the shoot only took a couple of hours and credit must be given to Chris the sales executive at Expandore Electronics which did a great job in playing the part superbly
